Kevin Bergman, MD – Co‑Chief Executive Officer & Co‑Founder
A family physician and educator, Dr. Bergman serves as Associate Clinical Professor at UCSF and was co‑Director of the UCSF Family Medicine Residency’s ultrasound/global health programs. He helped author national POCUS guidelines and advocates for POCUS in primary care, global health, and equity globalultrasoundinstitute.com.
Mena Ramos, MD – Co‑Chief Executive Officer
Co‑founder and co‑CEO of Global Ultrasound Institute (GUSI), Dr. Ramos leads a multidisciplinary team of physician educators, technical specialists, and program coordinators, guiding the development of innovations like UpScan.

Hospitalist & Clinical Educator
Serves as Medical Director of Oakland’s TRUST Clinic for individuals experiencing homelessness. He developed the inpatient POCUS curriculum at the Contra Costa Family Medicine Residency, teaches nationally, and leads IRB‑approved POCUS research.
